Description	Down Syndrome association * provides social and information network for parents * provides education about people with Down Syndrome * ensures availability of appropriate services for all persons with Down syndrome * ensures that all students with Down Syndrome be welcomed in regular classes in their local neighborhood schools, with appropriate programs and support services * provides educational seminars; mini-conferences and family-centered social events * publishes a newsletter * distributes information / awareness kits to new parents, teachers and professionals * works closely with other groups to achieve mutual goals
