Description & Services
Description	Bethell Hospice is a fully integrated community and residential hospice. Specially trained volunteers work collaboratively with professional staff in order to meet the unique needs of individuals living witth the challenges of life-limiting illness and their families. Services are offered in a persons home; in hospitals; in long-term care settings; or, within the residential program - Bethell House.     Psycho-social bereavement support and spiritual care is also available. Note: you are not required to have accessed any of our other services in order to access bearevement support or spiritual care.     Our lending library offers resources about grief, illness and death to the public.    Volunteer opportunities are available on an ongoing basis.
Hours	*Community Program Office: Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm  *Residential Program: 24/7; 365 days per year

Eligibility	Persons living with the challenges of life-limiting illness & their families; anyone who has suffered through grief and loss (bereavement) or spiritual distress.    For information regarding eligibility for the residential program, please contact the Bethell Hospice Intake Coordinator.
Application	Referrals will be accepted from an individual requiring service, physicians, family members, friends, spiritual and religious leaders and health care professionals. Note that the individual being refered or the Power or Atorney must approve the referal and accept our services based on establish criteria. Admission to service is based on "need" (medical, physical, emotional and spiritual) rather than an a first come first served basis.
