Description	National, non-profit, faith-based organization whose goal is to eliminate local poverty by building affordable homes for families in need * mobilizes volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing * promotes homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty    Builds and renovates houses in partnership with low-income families who need decent housing* affordable Habitat houses are made possible through volunteer labour and contributions of money, materials, and services    ReStore – retail warehouse * household items and building materials are sold to the public, home renovators and tradesmen at 50-75% of original cost * items in store are donated by local companies and individuals * diverts items from landfill sites * provides a source of funding for Habitat for Humanity projects    Volunteer information/orientation sessions conducted monthly
