Description

An independent, non-profit organization that promotes social justice by facilitating citizen participation in the identification of social issues and in the planning and implementation of collaborative actions to address those issues * provides the following services:

Research: examines social problems and needs in Peel * develops options for addressing those problems and needs * provides basic socio-economic information on the Peel population

Public Education: disseminates information about social problems and needs of the community in Peel and the options for addressing them (workshops, training, publications, etc)

Community Development: facilitates coordination and cooperation among agencies in the social services sector of Peel * facilitates the development of new services/agencies in Peel

Consultation: provides professional research and training services to community groups, public and private sector service providers, and funders

SPC will provide organizational development services to community groups and fledgling organizations on request
