| Description | Brampton Safe City Association is a non-profit agency providing community safety programs in Brampton * citizens work together with police & government agencies to make Brampton a safer place to live, work and play Child and Youth Safety - organizes safety presentations for children and young adults * offers educational workshops for parents and caregivers on how to keep children safe from crime and injury Youth Education and Safety Program (YES) - engages student volunteers (14-18yrs) in community safety projects * provides program participants with training and leadership development opportunities Residential Safety (Brampton Neighbourhood Watch Program) - keeps citizens informed about crimes in their area* educates citizens about home & family protection * works with Peel Police to tackle crime problems in their neighbourhoods * presents Safety Skills Workshops on home security, personal safety, auto theft, fraud and other crime prevention topics Brampton Safety Net - an email alert program to help keep homes, families and businesses safefrom crime and injury. Citizens register online to receive alerts about crimes in their neighbourhood, child safety, youth safety, seniors safety, emergencies, fire safety, road safety, health and workplace safety. Visit www.bramptonsafecity.ca for more info and to register Road Safety (Road Watch Program) - gives residents and visitors an opportunity to report dangerous and aggressive drivers to the police * Road Safety Committee works with citizens to find effective ways to address traffic safety issues Safe City Partnership - Brampton Safe City Association is the lead agency in a citywide partnership of more than 20 member agencies committed to delivering programs and services in children's safety, fall prevention for seniors, road safety, workplace safety, crime prevention, and emergency preparedness * visit website for current listing of community partners and opportunities to volunteer Safety For Seniors – provides information to families, caregivers, or community organizations working to enhance safety for seniors * resource materials for seniors available on request Workplace Safety - supports Brampton's business community by providing programs and services to enhance safety in the workplace * provides resources and information to reduce the risk of theft, fraud, vandalism, and other business-related crimes * provides training to help businesses maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees | |||
