Services offered include:EMERGENCY SERVICES 
Direct clinical pharmacist; RT, QRP & Crisis support; large pediatric emergency component; a full range of medical and urgent surgical emergencies; crisis intervention; acute accident, injury & illness management; triage medical observation short stay. 
 
MEDICINE & FAMILY MEDICINE 
Operates 212 medical beds across 2 campuses. WOHC is also one of the few Canadian hospitals that have Hospitalists (physicians who look after patients who come through the emergency department, but who do not have a family physician of their own during the course of their hospital stay). 
 
Services include: 
 
GENERAL MEDICINE: Respirology; endocrinology; gastroenterology; infectious diseases; neurology and gerontology. 
 
CARDIOLOGY: Diagnostic services; critical cardiac care; inpatient step-down and acute cardiac care; telemetry; inpatient education program; & cardiac rehabilitation program. 
 
ONCOLOGY: Inpatient oncology (inclusive of all major diagnoses except acute leukemia and radiation therapy); close links with tertiary centers to support the continuum of care; general medicine services; oncology clinical nurse educators; chemotherapy clinical trials nurse; expert staff certified in chemotherapy administration and other oncology certificate programs. Brampton has 36 inpatient beds. 
 
LONG TERM CARE (LTC) 
Complex continuing care; palliative care; transitional care and respite care; adult day program; outpatient rehabilitation; geriatric assessment clinic; and supportive housing. 
 
REHABILITATION 
WOHC is the largest rehabilitation center in the 905 area hospitals. Services include:  
 
GENERAL REHABILITATION: for patients who require geriatric or general rehabilitation services to promote health, maintain and restore function and provide education and counseling. 
 
ORTHOPEDIC REHABILITATION: for post-operative patients or patients diagnosed with musculoskeletal disease. Orthopedic rehabilitation will focus on pain control, reconditioning, functional restoration, education and counselling, and the provision of adaptive tools to enable patients to achieve their functional potential. 
 
NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION: for patients diagnosed with a neurological disorder or injury resulting in sensorimotor, visual, perceptual and/or language deficits. This program will focus on cognitive and perceptual remediation and assist patients in regaining skills needed for self-care management, activities of daily living, personal safety and socialization. 
 
SURGERY 
Staff hold OR Certification or Post Anesthesia Certification; urology and ostomy expertise; progressive short stay unit; general surgery; thoracic; vascular; gynecology; ENT; plastics; orthopedics; urology; endoscopy and oral surgery. 
 
MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS 
Crisis intervention; inpatient and outpatient clinics; eating disorders clinic; and community mental health clinics.
