Activity stations, arts and crafts and circle/story time are available. * Adjustments after birth Drop in, non-professional peer support for mothers experiencing Postpartum Mood adjustments. * Baby Fun (0-12mths) Parents explore early learning activities with their baby and network with other parents and caregivers * Baby Sign Language (0-12mths) This basic ability to communicate before they can talk, gives babies a great boost to their self esteem, helps parents and caregivers appreciate the intelligence of their babies, and can dramatically reduce the frustration that parents and babies experience when communication is difficult. *Developing Literacy Skills An interactive program (3.5 - 6 years). This program focuses on promoting language competence in children. The children will develop and practice their reading skills and communication. * Focus on Science (3,5-6yrs) Fun filled hands on activities that enhance children's natural wonder for science through exploration, comparison,estimation and sensory experiences. * Jolly Jingles (3,5-6yrs) A program for children where they learn to use jolly jingles songs and actions as a fun and interactive way of learning letter sounds. * Family Esso Math (4-6yrs) Introducing games and activities that reinforce skills and develop math skills. *Making a Story Book. An interactive group experience for parents and their children which focus on rhymes, songs and stories for the purpose to motivate children to become mini authors. Parents/caregivers and children will spend quality time together assembling a custom book and the end result will become a treasure for years to come. * Music and Movement (birth-6yrs) An interactive program to introduce children to the concepts of music, movement and creative play to encourage listening skills, imitation and gross motor development. * Mother Goose (0-18mths) Parents and children learn rhymes, songs and stories Children improve language and pre-literacy skills. * Little Chef's (3,5-6yrs) Children participate in age appropriate food preparation with their parents. PBSO is a self-help organization committed to supporting parents and their families who have experienced the death of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, medical termination, stillbirth or neonatal death. PBSO is a charitable organization, offering tax receipts for donations. Child Care Centres in Brampton and Mississauga. * Provides subsidized access to centre and home based childcare in over 450 licensed programs throughout the Region of Peel * Facilitates placement in Regional and community-based programs for children with identified special needs. SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM: The Special needs program provides a broad range of services and support to the child and family. In addition to participating in the daily routines of the child care program, children with special needs receive an individualized teaching plan designed to meet the specific needs of each child. In partnership with the parent and the centre staff, the Resource Teacher ensures the development of long and short term goals for the child. The parent and the Resource Teacher will prioritize the needs to happen to increase the child’s skill development. Goals are reviewed and revised monthly and the parent will receive a copy of the Family Support Plan at a monthly meeting with the Resource Teacher. Hours 7am– 6pm depending on the families need.

Pre-Natal Assessment: Preparing for your birth begins with a visit to your doctor to confirm your pregnancy. To have your baby at our centre, your doctor must have privileges to deliver babies here. Our Prenatal Service Department offers a wide range of support services to assist you and your partner throughout your pregnancy. These services include: * Prenatal Registration Session: 3 hour teaching session with a brief nurse assessment and prenatal tour. Information covered in this session consists of: nutritional awareness, early labour signs, when to come to hospital, what to bring to hospital, labour support and pain relief options. During this session, the RN will briefly review your history and discuss any additional resources you may require. * Vaginal Birth after a Caesarean Section Clinic: Can I have a vaginal birth this time if my last baby was born by a C/S? Yes you can attempt a Vaginal Birth after Caesarean Section if you have had only one Caesarean Section * A referral to the VBAC Clinic (Vaginal birth After Caesarean) Clinic will be considered by your Doctor or Midwife based on the following criteria: two years since your last birth and previous birth Records are available * Special Pregnancy Clinic: Offers care closer to home for those women requiring a high-risk consultation with a perinatologist. This is a collaborative practice model with obstetricians at Trillium Health Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital. * Neonatal Consultation Clinic: Offers consultation with a neonatologist in the prenatal period for: parents whose infants may require the services of the Intensive Care Nursery, or parents who may have questions regarding implications of maternal illness or fetal anomaly on ultrasound. |
